New Year in Tuk-Tuk, Samosir Island (Jan 2015)

I hope it's not too late to say HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015. It's time to forget the bad memories but never forget what it taught you & also cherish every good memories. May this year brings much more fortune & happiness than before. Thank you for everyone who I've spent together throughout this wonderful year of 2014. Cheers to the splendid day. 31st page of 365 pages. I'm ready for whatever it takes in this new phase. 2015, bring it on!!!

So....
I didn't go abroad like I was expecting. So, I went to Samosir Island for the first time. I went there with my family and my parents' friend and his family. It quite okay from the picture you see, but there's a bad story behind it.

Ok let's start from the first day
2nd January 2015: woke up at 3am, depart from home at 4.30am, arrive Siantar City at 8am and had breakfast Mie Pansit Awai which is so sticky so different with Medan's. Depart at 9am and arrive Lake Toba at 10am.

Can you imagine we wait at the Harbor for our ship from 10am to 2.30pm?The weather is extremely HOT as efff and the parking lot for cars to queue is so sticky with mud and many rubbish. Can this day be anymore worse??? We had our lunch at the side of the parking lot, we have fish, like only fish without rice. Then it started to drizzle, we have to wait inside the car. And finally at 2.30pm our ship arrive. Like finallyyyyy... we arrive at our hotel at 4pm. What a day!!!! spending our half day wasted only waiting.... Well, it's peak season, can't blame anybody :(

After we change and ready for dinner that night. I hurriedly take my camera to snaps as many picture as possible before my parents' friend's family saw me. hahahahha!! I'm such a sucker!!

Dinner at ELIOS, too hungry to be true til I forget to snap a pic of the heavenly food :( my bad. Actually I kinda embarrassed to the friend's family too. We had BPK, many fishes, prawn and some kind of seafood.

3rd January
Rise and shineeeeee.... It's the next morning and I woke up so early it's like 5am. Well y'all know what the feeling of going on holiday. That excitement can't wait to explore and enjoying the moment kinda feeling.. So I decided to wrap a shawl around my waist to make it like as if I were in Bali kinda resort

Okay time to change the color of my tanktop! hahahah I'm feeling like a model :p

Time to change my outfit again, this time is for going out... Ready to explore discover wanderlustttt

First stop at Tabo Cotagge, a German Hotel

This is so funny!!! We pass by a road and I was like "I should stop and snap a pic of this breathtaking view" and we actually purposely stop by in the middle of the road til many cars are waiting behind us.. How crazy is that??? Hahahahh best experience!! You guys should try that some time.

Had our lunch at Sekapur Sirih. The design is so unique and vintage, I had to snap a few pics of it!! You guys might have guess it already

Back to our Hotel and as you can see, I changed my outfit again, ok I know I'm so weird...

We're having a boat ride to Prapat City and shop a few stuff. But not for me!!

4th January
It's the last day at here huhuhu :'( time pass so fast. I don't wanna leave that quick.
We stop by at another hotel, Silintong Hotel

As you have guessed we stopped by at the side of the road and camera roll again!! Hahahahha

At last, we really are leaving.... :(
Stop by at BPK Tarigan to buy some lunch. The BPK is sooooo beyond heavenly delicious and mouth watering and figerlicking gewdddd
And the place is so photogenic too

Luckily the night before, we went dinner at a Chinese restaurant, which is soooo damn weird. I mean Chinese in an Indo's vintage Island?? Like come on man!! And guess what? It's the only Chinese Restaurant in the Island, and the annoying thing is the food is so limited, like we order this thing and it's out of stock, well heloooo are you guys running a restaurant or a what??!! Am so pissed of that time...
But luckily God like sent us a guardian angel here, suddenly out of nowhere, the restaurant owner's husband is some-what kinda a police officer, so he insist to make us a VIP guest so that we can enter FIRST on the ship the next day, which is Halleluyahh!!! So, is this a miracle or just a coincidence?

We wait at the harbor from 12 to 1 or 2pm I forgot, then arrived at Siantar around 4pm, the road trip on the way is so traditional village kinda type. It's so nature forest greenish road. Everywhere is so damn natural. I wish I had a video so you guys can see what my eyes had witness.. But too bad :( sorry

We stopped by at Paten which is a place to buy some gift snacks. Dinner at a Kwetiao place.

Another road we pass to Tebing Tinggi is so damn dark, I felt like we're making a Horror Thriller movie or Jurassic Park or sth like that. Hahahahaha

Then we arrived Medan at 10.30pm which doesn't make any difference, but hey rather than we arrive the next morning which means I have to skip work OMG no wayyy

So, many shitty but memorable story that taught us many things. But I'm still feel happy and blessed. Well, rather than you stay at home and experience and learn nothing.
